Re: GetOCXProperty messes with window

The ThinNetMgr.Display(QuickWindow) dit not work, the window is still resized. It is not the first call that dos it. I have a call to it in openwindow and doresize. From my DebugView log: [6932] ThinTest.Main.Init.Size: 557 x 317 [6932] ThinTest.Main.FrameSize.OCX 557 x 317 [6932] ThinTest.EVENT:DoR...

Re: GetOCXProperty messes with wndow

I realise the GetOCXProperty is not designed to do this. I do however need to get the actual client window's size values. So this will work for me if that is possible.

I'll give feedback here about using the display first.

Re: Resize does not work.

I am definitely using the latest v1.51

Server: Windows Vista 32 bit
Client: Windows Vista 32 bit

Tried all clients that came with the release as well as my own custom one compiled with the release.

All instances shows the exact same problem originally reported.

Re: Thin@ buttons are smaller.

The server is Windows Vista 32bit. I tried all the clients from the latest release (except for Clarion8 which wouldn't open saying application did not initialise) as well as my own one. They all showed exactly the same results. I also tested running the client on Windows7 64 bit with the same results.

Re: Close one thrread from another

Thanx for this Daniel. The example works perfectly.

I also think that your advice about the YIELD() ill make life easier for my other threading issues.

I am busy taking the threading test closer to what happens in my app - creating and destroying lots of controls with each "controlling" window swap.

GetOCXProperty messes with wndow

I am trying to use GetOCXProperty to return the property of the window. The correct property values are returned, BUT the window is made very small and moved to the left hand top of my screen. This happens only on the first call GetOCXProperty. After that I con resize the window and GetOCXProperty w...

Close one thrread from another

I have the basic thread communication working and now I am trying the following. Whenever a specific window opens it increases glo:filtercount. WHen it closes it decreases glo:filtercount and sends a notify code 600 to filterthread. In filterthread's takenotify method it checks for code 600 and if g...

Class variables with version numbers.

In order to assist with debugging and making sure that I am running the same versions of all dll's and templates etc, I would like to suggest a bunch of class variables that are set on program setup so I can show/report it: ThinNetMgr.ClientVersion - version number of Thin@.dll on client ThinNetMgr....

Re: Custom netclient and new releases

The problem with detailing the the changes by line numbers is that my app line numbers are different from yours, because it has been modified. Also the line numbers do not work in the embeditor. So you have to generate the client app that you used to compare with the new one to find which changes ar...
